Digital East Creative Guidelines

Description

Participants on the Digital East DSP platform (including advertisers, and advertising agencies that place ads using our platform) share a common responsibility to ensure creative quality. Creative Quality Guidelines ("Guidelines") describe ad quality standards. Please review these Guidelines carefully.  

Application

These guidelines represent platform principles and Digital East reserves the right to reject, suspend, or remove from its platform any ad in its sole discretion, regardless of whether a basis for removal is listed here. Ads that do not meet the standards may be subject to platform-wide blocks. Buyers placing advertisements on behalf of their own affiliates or customers must ensure that the ads they purchase or place comply with these Guidelines.

Compliance

  • Advertisers that engage in behavioral advertising must also provide consumers with the ability to opt-out of such targeted advertising.
  • Ads must not include or contain any content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third.
  • All ads placed must comply with the Ad Standards and Creative Guidelines set out by the Internet Advertising Bureau at http://www.iab.com/guidelines/iab-standard-ad-unit-portfolio/

Prohibited content

The following content is strictly prohibited in the platform (either in the creative or landing page):

  • Sale or promotion for sale of counterfeit goods
  • Promotion or sale of some products or services that cause damage, harm, or injury
  • Promotion of products and services that are designed for hacking, cheating, fake documents etc.
  • Inappropriate content like discrimination, hate group, graphic scenes, cruelty to animals, murder, self-harm etc.
  • Adult content
  • Alcohol
  • Gambling
  • Drugs or controlled substances
  • Any claim that a third-party plug-in such as a Flash or Java player is outdated
  • Malware of any kind
  • Landing pages may not attempt to auto-download software without user consent

Ad Behaviour Standards

  • Page redirects are strictly not permitted without users initiation
  • In-banner video should not be delivered after purchasing a display impression
  • Auto refresh of ads should not happen. Only one creative can be served
  • Pop-ups or javascript dialogs cannot be shown
  • Pop-unders are not permitted
  • Ads may not contain viruses, spyware, or malware, or attempt to download executable files without user initiation
  • Click-to-call or click-to-SMS ads must clearly indicate that clicking the ad will initiate the call or SMS message

Ad &Landing Page Contents

Ads and ad landing pages must not include or contain:

  • Misleading information where creative suggests one thing and the landing page displays another message
  • Adult content, including full nudity, or depictions or descriptions of sexual acts, in the ad creative or on the landing page
